The Ecotropics group tech partners are a multidisciplinary group of research, innovation and development practitioners while advancing in project cycle and management at any Coffee and Cacao farm. It begins with agronomy, ecology, engineering and varietales genetics at the field level. Then it encompasses chemistry, physics, and food science throughout the stages of planting, harvesting, processing, shipping, roasting, and packaging. Coffee scientists may focus on one particular field, but a holistic understanding of coffee and cocoa biochemistry is essential. The Ecoindustrial coffee hub that The Ecotropics group developed is serving as a coffee science center for farmers interested in attaining a broader understanding of coffee by explaining aspects ranging from agronomy, applied ecology, roasting technology to the science of brewing coffee.
